Wilmington — Dr Brian J. Santin, a vascular surgeon with Ohio Vein & Vascular in Wilmington, was recently selected to be on the physician advisory board of athenahealth, Inc a leading provider of practice management, electronic health records, and care coordination for medical practices around the country. Electronic medical records are the modern day version of a paper chart in a doctor’s office.
Dr. Santin is one of only 25 physicians from across the United States chosen to serve in this capacity. He will travel to Boston, Mass. on several occasions this year to provide input on the development of athenahealth products and service offerings and to increase the value that the company provides to physicians and patients.
The advisory board includes physicians from all practice sizes and represents a diverse group of specialties.
